The night of Oscars has finally begun and the much-awaited awards have started rolling in. Sam Rockwell has won the award for the Best Supporting Actor for his role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbings, Missouri.

The Academy Award comes amid a national reckoning concerning sexual harassment and assault in Hollywood and other industries around the country. Therefore, it’s a no-brainer to see Frances McDormand’s character which is custom made for the #MeToo Movement with the help of others bags a seat at the nominations table.

“Three Billboards Outside Ebbings, Missouri” revolves around a mother, Mildred whose grief over her daughter’s unsolved murder results in vengeance, anger, and helplessness.

Now that is just the beginning and Three Billboards who has garnered nine nominations is in the lead. Waiting ahead for us is a huge roller coaster ride filled with excitement and nervousness of who goes back from Dolby Theatres in Hollywood with a celebration of a lifetime a.k.a the Oscar! And of course, what goof-ups and gaffes we get to have a good laugh at. Leading at the nominations is The Shape of Water with a whopping 13 nods. Other popular picks for the most category are Lady Bird, Darkest Hour, Phantom Thread, Get Out, Call Me by Your Name and The Post.
