For the first time since her divorce from Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, his ex-wife Dhanashree Verma has broken her silence. In a podcast conversation, she spoke openly about her experience related to divorce and the trolling she received on social media.
Dhanashree said that divorce is not a celebratory occasion for anyone, it is a very emotional moment. She said that the day she reached the court and the process started, she cried in front of everyone. According to her, a person has to show a lot of maturity at such times. She did not make any statement and took full care of the privacy of the family.
She also said that marriage happens with love and separation should also happen with respect. If someone remains silent and moves forward with respect, it does not mean that people take advantage of him or humiliate him.
Dhanashree also reacted to Yuzvendra Chahal's T-shirt which read "Be Your Own Sugar Daddy". She wore this during the divorce process. Dhanashree said that when she came out of the court and sat in the car and saw this picture, she was shocked. At that very moment she wondered why she was crying and then decided that she would not cry anymore. Dhanashree believes that a person's behavior on the day of divorce shows how that person really is. At such a time it is important to show maturity and she saw everything clearly.
On the trolling and criticism she is receiving on social media, she said that people often accuse women without any reason. This is not in her control and now she does not even pay attention to it. Her focus is only on her work and career.
She also said that even before marriage, when she used to post dance videos, she was trolled. But she always kept her focus on her work. According to her, she is proud of her work and is still doing good work continuously.
