Peeping Moon Exclusive : YouTube star Bhuvan Bam set for Bollywood debut alongside Wamiqa Gabbi In Dharma Productions’ Kuku Ki Kundali

Dharma Productions is set to introduce another vibrant new onscreen duo with its upcoming family entertainer. PeepingMoon.com has exclusively learned that Karan Johar has signed YouTube sensation Bhuvan Bam and sought-after actress Wamiqa Gabbi to headline ‘Kuku Ki Kundali,’ directed by Sharan Sharma, best known for helming ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ and ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi.’

Sources describe this film as a romantic comedy filled with laugh-out-loud moments, witty dialogues, and endearing family drama. The project has already generated considerable buzz within industry circles for serving as Bhuvan Bam’s official debut in mainstream Bollywood cinema. A comedian and content creator who rose to fame through his YouTube channel BB Ki Vines and later transitioned into mainstream acting with the popular Disney+ Hotstar series ‘Taaza Khabar,’ this film marks a significant milestone for Bam. He is excited to embark on his feature film journey with a Dharma Productions venture and is poised to bring his unique charisma to the big screen.

For the romantic counterpart, the makers were looking for an actress who could complement Bhuvan's comic flair and found the perfect match in Wamiqa Gabbi, who has earned widespread acclaim for her diverse and powerful performances in series and films such as ‘Jubilee,’ ‘Khufiya,’ ‘Baby John,’ and most recently, ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf.’ Both Bhuvan and Wamiqa are set to bring a refreshing dynamic to the screen with their romantic and comedically engaging chemistry — perfectly aligning with the tone of this quirky rom-com.

Production is expected to begin in late 2025, although the exact shooting schedule is still being finalized. In the interim, Bhuvan is reportedly considering a few other acting opportunities that could be filmed before ‘Kuku Ki Kundali’ goes on floors. Meanwhile, Wamiqa continues to juggle an impressive slate of high-profile projects. She has already finished shooting for Priyadarshan’s ‘Bhoot Bangla’ with Akshay Kumar, Vikas Bahl’s ‘Dil Ka Darwaza Khol Na Darling’ with Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Adivi Sesh’s ‘Goodachari 2.’ Next month, she commences filming for Mudassar Aziz's ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh 2’ alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan and is then expected to join the cast of Raj & DK’s Netflix series ‘Rakt Brahmand,’ although that project is still facing financial trouble, with no firm production timeline in place.

Interestingly, director Sharan Sharma was earlier developing an emotionally charged human drama with Sidharth Malhotra in the lead. However, that project has now been shelved, and Sharma has now shifted his full attention to ‘Kuku Ki Kundali,’ which promises to deliver an engaging, fun-filled cinematic experience in theatres.
