Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming drama series Away that stars two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank as an astronaut who goes to Mars. The trailer shows that it is tough to hold a family together and the sacrifices that a family has to make to see their loved one fulfil their dream. Hilary stars as the American astronaut Emma Green, who is the commander of NASA’s first mission to Mars.
In the trailer of Away, we see Emma say goodbye to her engineer husband Matt (played by Josh Charles) and teenage daughter Lex (Talitha Bateman) before embarking on the perilous journey. The trailer shows the problems that they all face in the three years Emma is in Mars. Matt suddenly loses consciousness and ends up in hospital bed-ridden, while Emma has trouble with her space ship as well as her crew. Trust issues and ego run high among the astronauts. As the crew’s journey in space intensifies, their personal struggle of staying away from their family takes a toll on all of them concerned.
