Baahubali’ actress Ramya Krishnan joins Allu Arjun in Atlee’s actioner

Allu Arjun and Atlee’s ‘AA22xA6’ has a casting addition. South actress Ramya Krishnan, known for her iconic portrayal of Rajamata Sivagami Devi in SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ franchise, has been signed on for a prominent role in the action spectacle. This is Ramya’s first collaboration with both Allu and Atlee. Her casting adds further weight to a star-studded ensemble, which includes Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, and Janhvi Kapoor. Ramya is expected to join the sets in the coming schedules.

Billed as a high-concept VFX-driven spectacle set in a parallel universe, ‘AA22xA6’ went on floors in June and is currently being shot in Mumbai, where Allu is joined by Mrunal for key action sequences. The production team has planned an extensive shooting schedule through 2025 and is targeting a grand theatrical release in late 2026.

Atlee has crafted ‘AA22×A6’ with meticulous attention. To elevate its action quotient, he has roped in leading Hollywood stunt choreographers, including Spiro Razatos, known for his work on the ‘Fast & Furious’ films, ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ ‘Venom,’ ‘21 Bridges,’ ‘Jawan,’ and ‘War 2.’ Leading special effects companies from Los Angeles are also on board to design the film’s ambitious visual palette.

As for the music, Atlee has this time entrusted it to Sai Abhyankkar who was behind last year’s viral hit ‘Katchi Sera’, departing from his long-time collaborator Anirudh Ravichander.
