Grammys 2022: Indian American singer Falguni Shah aka Falu wins Best Children’s Music Album for ‘A Colourful World’

Indian American singer Falguni Shah aka Falu has made Indians across the globe immensely proud of her. The singer bagged the Grammy Award 2022 for Best Children’s Music Album on Sunday for her music album A Colourful World. The singer also has the unique distinction of being the only Indian-origin woman to be nominated in the Best Children’s Music Album category twice. 

Taking to Instagram, she shared a photo of herself with the prestigious award and wrote, “have no words to describe today’s magic. What an honor to perform for the opening number of the GRAMMY Premiere Ceremony, and then take home a statue on behalf of all the incredible people who worked on A Colorful World. The music album that won her the award talks about colours, rainbows and kites. Falguni has also performed with AR Rahman for her album that released in 2007. Rahman was also in attendance at the Sunday’s award ceremony with his son AR Ameen.

Falu beat fellow nominees that included 123 Andres (Activate), 1 Tribe Collective (All One Tribe), Pierce Freelon (Black to the Future), Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band (Crayon Kids).
