PeepingMoon Exclusive: Sandiip Sikcand comes out in support of Munawar Faruqui, says 'BB 17 is like nagging neighbour poking nose into personal lives'

Bigg Boss 17 has been making headlines for several reasons. One of them is the past and current relationships of the contestants. As the show is marching towards its finale week, PeepingMoon got in touch with veteran television personality Sandiip Sikcand who doesn't shy away from calling a spade a spade and is unfiltered in his opinions.

When we asked Sandiip whether the lack of tasks and more focus on relationships ripped the true essence of Bigg Boss, he said, "Bigg Boss 17 is different from its previous seasons. There have been no tasks and the house got its first captain after several weeks. Bigg Boss has become like that nagging neighbour who is poking his nose into everyone's private affairs. It's unfair as to what has happened with Munawar Faruqui. Bigg Boss often says there's no need to talk about the outside world but then someone's ex-girlfriend/boyfriend enters the show and creates unnecessary confusion. Bigg Boss 17 is more like a nagging aunty and not a reality show. They should get back to playing the game, doing tasks rather than digging into people's lives and bringing their exes."

Sandiip further shared that he doesn't see any winner as nobody has established a connection with the audience. However, his favourite contestant is Munawar. "I don't care who the winner is because none of them has managed to strike a chord with the viewers. This time, all the screaming, and crying have superseded the characters of the people. Munawar should get the trophy but we all know who will be given the trophy."

The veteran television personality also said that the underdog of Bigg Boss 17 is harmony and relationships. "The underdog of the show is harmony. I don't think anyone is the underdog because they're yelling, screaming and screeching. In this entire thing, harmony and relationships haven't come out properly. That's what is needed."

Concluding the interaction, Sandiip shared his plans for 2024. He informed, "Many exciting things are happening and at present, I don't have the liberty to disclose everything right now. 2024 is going to be a fabulous year."
