Exclusive: Today I see everyone posting about Saroj Khan but they must have showed their respect when she was alive - Jaswir Kaur

Ace Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan passed away from cardiac arrest in the wee hours of Friday on July 3, 2020. She was admitted to Guru Nanak hospital on June 17 after complaining of chest pain. The veteran choreographer was 72.

Saroj, who was lovingly called 'Masterji' in Bollywood worked in over 200 films and was loved by many including television actress Jaswir Kaur, who is heartbroken after the demise of her guruji. "I am numb. Today everyone is posting about her but no one posted about her when she was alive. She was a living legend, now everyone will make documentaries on her but no one made it when she was with us," she said.

When asked her about her experience of working with Saroj Khan, she said, "Masterji who lived every moment of life, always believed in moving on and not sitting back and cry. No matter what, she told us to work hard. She used to be happy to see her dancers and her people become successful in life and she used to always stand up with us. She used to make sure no one from her team got into trouble. She was with me whenever I needed her. I have so much to about her but..."

For the unversed, Jaswir began her career as a background dancer and was seen in many hit Bollywood films. Her dance numbers had then been choreographed by Saroj Khan and the two shared a close bond. Jaswir later went to act in TV show and made it big.
