Raveena Tandon on pay disparity that prevailed in Bollywood before: The money male stars would make in 1 film, it took me 15

Raveena Tandon has carved a niche in the industry and continues to impress the audience with her performance.
Recently, the actress addressed the pay disparity which existed back in days in the film industry. She also shared that it would take her to do multiple films in order to get what her male co-stars would make within a single film.

She said, “In those days, the money was very, very less, especially the pay disparity between actors and actresses. The male stars got a lot; much, much more. What they would make in one film, I would make in, say 15 films. For women actors… me, personally… actually, I can't speak for everybody, I can't generalize this. I had to do 15-20 films to make as much money as my male counterparts."

She also mentioned how males had the liberty to do selective films.

On the work front, Raveena was recently seen in 'Patna Shuklla' which released on Disney+Hotstar. It followed a story of a small part-time lawyer who gets a case which seemed to be of a small scale initially but later turns out to be under the bigger influence.
