Praise is always sweet and it has an extra kick as it is now coming from the harder-to-please Hollywood media. Deepika Padukone has been coming in for some gushing praise from publications such as Hollywood Reporter, Vanity Fair, Paris Match and Variety. Fashion critics have been pleased by her appearances at the MET Gala and Cannes and they have been generous in their approval.
“Now this is Cannes. Deepika Padukone walks up the steps at the Palais for the premiere of 'Ash is Purest White.' #Cannes2018,” The Hollywood Reporter gushed. Vanity Fair praised her looks at MET Gala and Cannes, commenting, “Deepika Padukone set hearts aflutter when she graced the red carpet at the Met Gala and Cannes.” On an even more heartening note, they added, “Infectiously warm and approachable, this is one Indian star the rest of the world needs to keep an eye on.” That is one good suggestion!

When it came to Hollywood industry magazine Variety, they not only appreciated the actress for her Cannes appearance but also listed her in the International Women's Impact Report 2018 for contribution to cinema.
Applause also came in from Paris Match from France which gave her the thumbs-up. They wrote, “Deepika Padukone, Indian actress, and model, appeared on the red carpet in an incredible creation signed by the Indian brand ASHI studio, graphics and asymmetrical, pink fuchsia, which surprised many on the Croisette.
