Ekta Kapoor is the queen of television and there is no doubt about it! The lady has been ruling the Indian television industry for so many years and is still considered to be the best. Apart from producing content for television, she has made her mark on web platform and movies too.

Recently, at one of the events, Ekta talked about women voices in television and films where she mentioned that small screen women take the calls, whereas in movies women don't have a voice. She said, "We have so many voices of men in movies. We have Mr Bachchan, who is a voice. We have Gabbar, who is a villain and the women would dance. In our shows, the vamp and the heroine have a voice and the men look good. So, they could wear sarees, they could wake up with make-up."

The producer also said that she creates content which people want to see. She added, "Those are those problems that they find reliability with. They find the escapism with. I give them what they want. If someone wants escapism from movies or television, it's their birth right to get their enjoyment from there. And I am no one to question or stop it. I just revel and enjoy every kind of entertainment. If I make something for the masses, I make it for the mass. And if I make something for classes, I make it for classes. I think I can make it for of them. Why to put me in a box?"

Ekta has recently been featured in the list of 'India's most powerful Women' by the leading business magazine Fortune India.
