Post her split with Shahid Kapoor at least 8 years ago, Priyanka Chopra has evidently been single. Rumours of a relationship with a married superstar have floated around but PC has always maintained that she was unattached and waiting for true love.
Now, she has apparently found it, in singer-actor Nick Jonas. After sparking interest in the West with a host of public sightings and even attending his cousin’s wedding in New Jersey where she met his brother and family, not much doubt remains regarding Priyanka’s relationship status. With Nick arriving in India with the gorgeous actress, meeting her mother and supposedly even popping the question, Priyanka is letting her actions do the talking.

In the past, she herself had revealed that she had never dated per se but only ever been in relationships. “Dating as a concept doesn’t really exist in India,” she had said, explaining that in a relationship you are answerable to each other.
The Quantico stunner who will be introducing her beau to close friends and family has also declared in the past that the day she did find Mr. Right, the whole world would know. “When I know I’ve met the right person to share the rest of my life with, I’ll shout it from the rooftops,” she had said. Well, the whole world does know about it now and the pictures are screaming their own tale from the rooftops!
Here’s revisiting her list of must-haves…
“I want to be with somebody who has the drive but doesn’t take himself too seriously. I don’t like people who are caged within how life should be. Life is transient, and it's a journey, and I want to be with somebody who can see that,” she has maintained.
Another essential quality - “I like to be given attention, not like creeper-worthy attention, that would freak me out. But I like to be pursued and wooed.”
“If he’s not cerebral, if he’s not smart and cannot engage me, then it cannot happen. That’s the biggest, most important thing for me,” she has affirmed.
A stickler for mush and romance, a man who is lacking in this department is a big no-no.
The list of fundamental qualities continues… “He has to be a gentleman, he has to be intelligent, someone I respect and funny, not stupid funny but witty funny, charming. Basically, a male version of me.”

A go-getter herself, she would not settle for someone who is her opposite in this regard. “He needs to be an achiever, it doesn't matter if he is an actor or not an actor. I would never respect a guy who is not an achiever.”
And finally, “He should be sincere, honest and he should love me unconditionally… and yes, he should be funny.”
Nick da man? Certainly appears so, as of now…
Clearly committed
Those close to Nick confirm that it is a huge deal that Nick brought Priyanka to his cousin’s wedding. He has dated a lot over the last couple years but it has never been anything serious, so this is a big step, they claim. The step got that much bigger when he accompanied Priyanka home to meet with her mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra.
Protective stance
The couple was snapped together as they arrived for dinner at Yauatcha, Bandra. Their body language was all too easy to read. While they linked fingers intimately, Nick was also seen walking protectively behind Priyanka. Just the kind of gentlemanly behaviour she loves!
Romantic gestures
Later that evening, Jonas shared a video of Chopra laughing and smiling to his Instagram Story. He captioned it, “Her” with a heart eyes emoji. Still, need proof??

Singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer, Nick Jonas wears many hats with ease. After the enormous success he enjoyed with the band Jonas Brothers, comprising himself and his two older brothers, he launched his solo career. His albums have entered the top ten of Billboard 200. Diagnosed with Type I diabetes at the age of 13, Nick has developed the Change for the Children Foundation. Partnering with five different charities, their goal is to raise money and awareness for diabetes. He is also diabetes ambassador for young people. He has volunteered his efforts for several causes including the advancement of music education in schools. This matches Priyanka’s own consistent efforts in supporting social causes.
