Vin Diesel accused of sexual battery against former personal assistant during filming of Fast Five in 2010

Vin Diesel, best known for playing Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise, has been accused of sexual battery during the 2010 filming of Fast Five. His former personal assistant, Asta Jonasson, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles on Thursday.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, Asta claimed that Vin trapped her against a wall in a hotel suite and masturbated in front of her. The lawsuit revealed she was an employee of the production house owned by the actor and her job profile included arranging and joining him at social gatherings and guaranteeing her presence in photographs if the actor made solo appearances at events without his partner.

As per the lawsuit, the incident took place in September 2010 when Asta was asked to remain in Vin's room in the hotel. He was reportedly 'hosting women from a club' and when they left, he grabbed Asta's wrist and dragged her onto the bed. The lawsuit claimed, "Ms. Jonasson was unable to escape and closed her eyes, scared of angering Vin Diesel by rejecting him further and trying to dissociate, wishing the assault would end."

Asta retaliated. However, when Vin attempted to remove her lingerie, she revolted. As per the lawsuit, Asta's legal team mentioned that Vin forced her to touch his genitals. "Ms. Jonasson felt like she was a piece of trash to be discarded. Ms. Jonasson felt helpless, her self esteem was demolished, and she questioned her own skills and whether a successful career would require her to trade her body for advancement," it read.

The lawsuit further stated, "It was clear to her that she was being fired because she was no longer useful — Vin Diesel had used her to fulfill his sexual desires and she had resisted his sexual assaults."

Vin's team is yet to issue a statement on the same.
