‘Need to make my health the priority,’ says Justin Bieber as he suspends his Justice Tour after being diagnosed with Ramsay-Hunt syndrome; singer’s India concert remains uncertain

Justin Bieber, on Tuesday, took to social media to inform his fans about suspending the rest of his Justice tour indefinitely. The 28-year-old singer who was diagnosed with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome- a neurological disorder characterized by facial paralysis or weakness of a facial nerve had shared his health news on social media and cancelled the rest of his shows in North America. The singer was also supposed to perform in India on October 18, and later on had said that he will be back to performing on his tour.

However, now having recently performed in Brazil and Europe, Justin described that the ‘exhaustion’ overtook him and as a result he has to prioritize his health over the Justice tour. Taking to social media he shared a note that read, “Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partly paralyzed. As the result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North America leg of the Justice Tour. After resting and consulting with my doctors, family and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour. I performed six lives shows, but it took a real toll on me. This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil.”

He assured his fans that he would be fine after breaking the rest of his tour said that he needs time to ‘rest and get better’. Justin wrote, “After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me, and I realised that I need to make my health the priority right now. So, I'm going to take a break from touring for the time being. I'm going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better. I've been so proud to bring this show and our message of Justice to the world. Thank you for your prayers and support throughout all of this! I love you all passionately!”

BookMyShow, the promoter for Justin’s India tour also issued a statement about the Justice Tour and wrote, “We are aware that Justin Bieber has decided to take a break from touring and wish Justin a speedy recovery. We admire his decision to put his health first and can’t wait to see him back on the road. Our understanding is the Asia leg of the tour, including New Delhi, India in October, is set to continue as scheduled."
