Emma Stone calls former boyfriend Andrew Garfield a ‘jerk’ after he lied to her about his Spider-Man: No Way Home cameo

Andrew Garfield has become the toast-of-the-town with his latest cameo as Spider-Man aka Peter Parker in the latest superhero film Spider-Man: No Way Home that has Tom Holland as the web slinger. And he has done a remarkable job of keeping his appearance under wraps, insisting repeatedly during interviews that he was not going to be in the movie. The secrecy went to people who are close to him, including former girlfriend and The Amazing Spider-Man co-star Emma Stone.

During an episode of Happy Sad Confused, Andrew told Josh Horowitz that Emma kept asking him if he was in the film. Emma, who starred as Gwen Stacy in both the the Amazing Spider-Man films, kept texting the actor. Andrew said, “Emma kept on texting me. She was like, 'Are you in this new Spider-Man film?' And I was like, 'I don't know what you're talking about.'"

Andrew, who dated Emma for four years further added and said, “She was like, 'Shut up, just tell me'." Emma finally watched the film that released worldwide in December and had a priceless reaction to his role. Andrew said, “She saw it and she was like, 'You're a jerk’."

Andrew starred in the new Spider-Man film along with the OG, Tobey Maguire. The cameos came as a surprise for the fans as the duo consciously skipped all the promotional events related to the film and were also missing from the posters and trailers. Spider-Man: No Way Home also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Zendaya and Jacob Battalon.
