Marvel's storytelling is becoming diverse: ‘Avengers: Endgame’ director Joe Russo on having an Indian superhero

Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming film Avengers: Endgame is one of the most-anticipated films of the year. The film’s co-director Joe Russo arrived in Mumbai today to kick-off his Asia-Pacific promotional tour for the final film in the concluding phase of the Avengers Saga. India is his first stop. He also unveiled the trilingual anthem composed by AR Rahman for Avengers: Endgame today at the launch event. Joe has directed four of Marvel films along with his brother Anthony Russo.

During the event, Joe was asked whether the Marvel Cinematic Universe will have an Indian superhero soon, the director said, “I don't run Marvel but I can say that storytelling is becoming diverse. That's the future of Marvel. The reason I am here is because the audience from across the world has reacted to us. I am certain that different cultures will start seeing themselves represented on screen and will start identifying with characters on screen."
