The first trailer of The Wedding Guest starring Dev Patel, Radhika Apte and Jim Sarbh in the lead is here. Patel is unquestionably a very fine actor and he is in full form in the film. He dons a new avatar in the film of a hard-hitting kidnapper and is very convincing as an action star in this latest film. Directed by Michael Winterbottom don’t get carried away by the seemingly harmless title of the film because there is no merry wedding here.
The trailer shows Patel gathering supplies for himself, which by all means looks like a plan for a malicious kidnapping. He is ready to crash a wedding and not in a fun way but is planning to abduct the bride herself played by Radhika. However, don’t feel sympathetic and worried about the seemingly coy bride as things do not seem simple and there is more to the tale than meets the eye.

The film dives deep into the murky shadowy underworlds and hidden realms of Pakistan and India and turns the protagonists into allies with attraction and secrets being revealed in the way. Jim Sarbh also makes a fleeting appearance in what looks like a pivotal role.
