Rightly termed as the ‘fashion police’ the anonymous account of Diet Sabya calls out Indian designers who copy the work of other renowned designers under the guise of ‘inspiration’. In their already long list of big names, Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend designer Gabriella Demetriades has been featured recently.
Gabriella’s clothing and accessories line Deme Love recently released its mini bag collection featuring cow prints. The printed bag bore a small black strap and a golden zip. This piece from her collection bore similarities to that with Frasier Sterling’s cow print bag. Being an anti-plagiarism account, Diet Sabya took it to their social media space and called out the designer for its way too much ‘inspired copy.’ Right from the prints to its belt, the resemblance between two pieces was quite uncanny!
But that’s just not it. Gabriella was further trolled by netizens for selling a rip off of $99 original Frasier Sterling’s bag at Rs.12,800! ‘Caught and how,’ quipped a user, ‘Costly copy’, commented another.
