Three weeks after 11 to-be-confirmed contestants entered the Bigg Boss 14 house with three toofani seniors, the makers brought in an early twist. While Rubina Dilaik, Abhinav Shukla, Jasmin Bhasin, Nishant Singh Malkani, Jaan Kumar Sanu, Rahul Vaidya, Nikki Tamboli, Eijaz Khan and Pavitra Punia are competing with each other, host Salman Khan gave them a major surprise by introducing three new contestants. On Sunday, Naina Singh was welcomed inside the house as one of the three wildcard contestants. Known for participating in reality shows, Naina became a household name as Rhea Mehra from Kumkum Bhagya. However, due to certain reasons, she called it quits after the show resumed post the lockdown.
The winner of Splitsvilla 10, Naina is all set to put forth her best. Before going inside the Bigg Boss 14 house, Naina sat for an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon. She spoke to us about her favourite contestant this season and whether it is an advantage to enter the house three weeks after the premiere.

Why did you sign Bigg Boss 14 when you’ve just started your career?
I was sitting at home due to COVID and there is no better time than this to sign Bigg Boss 14. There is this notion that one does Bigg Boss either in the beginning or at end of career. I think Bigg Boss also pushes your career because there are many people from the industry too who are watching. It is a plus point and I don’t have to be jobless to do Bigg Boss.
You won Splitsvilla 10 but Bigg Boss 14 is completely different. Any strategy in mind?
I neither made any strategy in Splitsvilla 10 nor for Bigg Boss 14. I’m true to the game. I’m in a game and I’ll you how it is done.
Bigg Boss is filled with controversies, fights and verbal spats. Are you ready to face it all?
I’m questioning myself, ‘Naina Singh kya controversy kar sakti hai?’ Whenever I come out, I’ll get to know about it and it will be something new to me too.
Is it an advantage to enter the house 3 weeks after the premiere?
Of course. I do see it as an advantage. I know the contestants and how they are playing now. They are with each other and I have a better idea of who back bitches and with whom I can be friends. I see it as a plus point. I’ll be treating everyone equally since I don’t know anyone of them personally.
Will you give the 9 other contestants inside the house a tough run for their money?
Mujhe meri taarif karna accha nahi lagta (laughs). I want the audience to watch and give feedback.
Who is your personal favourite Bigg Boss 14 contestant as a viewer?
Whatever Nikki Tamboli is doing, it is working for her. It is too early to say who is my favourite. Everyone is yet to open their cards.

Most of the time, people don’t show their real side inside the house. What’s your plan?
I just have one self and that is me. I can’t pretend to be someone else. Ever since I’ve started my career, I’m the same person. There is no fake side to me.
Will you get involved in groupism or play individually?
I don’t understand the concept of groups. Apna wicket bachane ke chakkar mein group mein khelte hai (People try to keep their wicket safe whenever they resort to groups). We aren’t playing football or cricket where you can play in groups. Jitna group, utni kacchi dosti (Groupism indicates that your friendship with them isn’t strong enough). I like to play my individual game. Of course, one should have friends and they do end up fighting with each other during tasks. I believe in having friends but groups are of no use.
Are you looking out for a partner inside the house?
I’m not going to create any love angle. Love is a big thing. Yeh aaj kal kilo ke bhav mein bechte hai, mujhe idea samajh nahi aata hai (I don’t understand the idea of falling in love just for the sake of it). You can’t fall in love in a day or two. I don’t like people playing with my emotions. If someone is flirting with me, I’ll flirt back but if someone says I’m in love with you in the first 3 days, I’ll surely end up nominating him (laughs).
What’s your take on people slamming Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla supporting each other and standing as strong pillars?
People are trying to fake and create love angles for the sake of the show. Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla are doing it naturally without pretense. When they are showing a love angle, people are having problem with it. If someone unmarried would have done the same with a contestant inside the house, nobody would have raised an objection. If I was married and was to go with my husband, I would have taken a stand.
