Shah Rukh Khan didn't abuse, Suhana Khan was catcalled: Former KKR team director reveals inside details of Wankhede Stadium incident

Shah Rukh Khan's cricket team, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Mumbai Indians yesterday during the ongoing Indian Premiere League 2024. This brought back many memories of the superstar's infamous skirmish with one of the staff members at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Yesterday, Joy Bhattacharya, the former Team Director of KKR, tweeted on X about the face-off.

He wrote, "The last time KKR beat MI at the Wankhede, I was still a part of that dugout. It's been a while, but today might just be the day!" In response to this, a netizen commented, "No, Joy! KKR has been cursed from the day SRK abused the Wankhede security guard.” The tweet has now been deleted.

Sharing details of the incident, Joy revealed Shah Rukh didn't abuse. He added that the superstar's daughter Suhana Khan was 'catcalled'. His tweet read, "KKR won two championships after that incident. And he did not abuse, I was there. And the next time, stay calm when someone catcalls your young daughter."

Shah Rukh was banned from the Wankhede Stadium for 5 years after the incident in 2012. The former MCA president, the late Vilasrao Deshmukh, imposed the rule. The association alleged that Shah Rukh tried to force his way onto the grounds after the match, and abused and manhandled guards after he was stopped.
