The COVID-19 pandemic has been especially difficult for the Indian film industry and actors. After Alia Bhatt and Akshay Kumar, Govinda tested positive for Coronavirus on Sunday morning. He has isolated himself at his Juhu bungalow while his children Tina Ahuja (born as Narmmadaa) and Yashvardhan Ahuja are staying in their flat which is situated opposite the bungalow. Talking to a leading daily, Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja revealed that the actor wasn't keeping well for a week and had symptoms of a cold.
Sunita further informed that Govinda doesn't have a fever and his senses of taste and smell are fine. "He had symptoms of a cold and we thought it would be best if he could get a COVID test done as those symptoms were not receding. His senses of smell and taste are intact, he has no fever either. Importantly, he is eating well. Currently, he has just a body ache and cold," Sunita told.
Sunita added that before Govinda, she had tested positive for COVID-19 after attending an event in Kolkata with her husband. "I think I got infected in Kolkata. Govinda and I had gone there for a channel's show. There was quite a bit of crowd and a mad rush for taking our pictures; the people were getting too close. I developed a few symptoms after returning to Mumbai and got myself tested. Unfortunately, the result was positive. Anyway, I am okay now, but now it's him," Sunita shared.
