Shah Rukh Khan’s and Gayatri Joshi Oberoi’s co-star from the film Swades, Kishori Ballal passed away today at a private hospital in Bengaluru. She was suffering from age-related illness.

She played the role of Kaveri Amma in the film. The news of her demise was shared by director Ashutosh Gowariker on Twitter. He had directed her in Swades.

She had started her career as a Bharatanatyam danseuse had acted in many Kannada movie like Kahi, Hani Hani, Suryakanthi and many other movies.
