Indian Idol 11: Vishal Dadlani wanted to call police after a contestant forcibly kisses Neha Kakkar

It’s been just a few days since the singing reality show Indian Idol 11 premiered on TV and it has already started making news for the wrong reasons. During an episode of the audition round, a contestant forcibly planted a kiss on judge Neha Kakkar’s cheek leaving her shocked.

Recently, during a conversation on Twitter with his fans, judge Vishal Dadlani was questioned about the incident. He wrote that he hoped the contestant wasn't let off so easily. He wrote, "@VishalDadlani sir uss launde ko chamet maarni chahiye thi. How dare he do such a thing. I hope he was not let off easily."

Vishal Dadlani replied to him saying that he wanted police intervention, but Neha Kakkar decided not to call the cops. He wrote, "I suggested that the Police be called, but Neha decided to let the guy off the hook. He definitely needs psychiatric help, and we will try to help him get that, if we can. #IndianIdol11. (sic)"

Recently, in the promo shared by the channel, one can see a contestant, dressed in traditional Rajasthani attire, had brought gifts for Neha Kakkar. When Neha moved forward to accept his gifts and hug him, the contestant planted a kiss on her cheeks. This left everyone shocked. However, the promo has been removed from the account after the controversy.

The first episode premiered on October 12, 2019.
