‘Yes, I have met her’, says Abhinav Kohli on meeting TV actress wife after getting bail in the domestic abuse case against his stepdaughter

A few days ago all hell broke loose when a popular TV Actress filed a case against her second husband actor Abhinav Kohli, accusing him of misbehaving and abusing her step-daughter (the actress’ daughter from her first marriage). She filed a case at Samta Nagar police station and Abhinav was sent to police custody till August 13. However, now the actor has got some reprieve as he has been granted bail by a Borivali Sessions Court. Abhinav broke his silence and spoke to an entertainment website at an event and revealed that he has met the actress after coming out of custody.

When Abhinav was questioned about his well-being after being accused of the crime, he said, “I am recovering.” Stating that the event was highly disturbing for him, Abhinav said, “It is, very, for me, it is not over yet it's still on. I am back to life for sure but normally will take some time, a little bit.” He also revealed that he met the actress after being granted bail and said, “Yes, I have met her.”

However, when the portal prodded him further on what the actress said to him, his mother Poonam Kohli who had accompanied him at the event said, “It is a family matter.” Abhinav further added and closed the topic by saying, “I’ll talk about it later.”

Abhinav was at the screening of the short film Cheetiyan and was accompanied by his mother who stood by him like a rock. The actor was visibly shaken and deeply hurt with the shocking turn of events. Abhinav was arrested under sections 354-A, 323, 504, 506, 509 IPC. The TV actress has accused him of abusing her daughter and using filthy language as well as showing obscene model’s photo on his mobile. The actress’ daughter had come forward and put out a strong Instagram message where she cleared the fact that she and not her mother was a victim of domestic violence.
