On Monday, the teaser of Huma Qureshi and Sharib Hashmi starrer Tarla was dropped online by the makers. The film is the biopic on the life of famous chef and food writer, Tarla Dalal. Huma plays the titular role and steps into the shoes of the homemaker turned culinary expert as she showcases her cooking skills and love for food.
The teaser shows Huma as a typical Gujarati housewife but who is ambitious and wants to do ‘something’ in her life despite not knowing what that ‘something’ is. Eventually, she starts her cooking class and turns the love of cooking to a business opportunity. Sharib plays Huma’s husband in the film.

Tarla is directed by Piyush Gupta and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and Nitesh Tiwari.
