Karan Johar, who is currently hosting Koffee With Karan 7, was accused of favouring Janhvi Kapoor over Sara Ali Khan in the second episode of the chat show. He was trolled for 'sidelining' Sara after she won the Koffee hamper as well as the quiz while consoling Janhvi. Now, in the fifth episode of the season, Karan addressed trolls and told his guests- Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan- that people accused him of being biased toward Janhvi.
Kareena reacted to the allegation and said, "I heard that. But I don't think it's true... Is it true, were you?" Karan went on to explain his stance and said it wasn't true and he felt bad because Janhvi lost both rounds. When he looked to Aamir for support and asked, "Do you think I can be partial Aamir?" the actor wittily said, "All the time..."
Kareena further teased Karan and said, "So you were partial then... That's so bad Karan." The filmmaker defended himself and confessed feeling bad for Janhvi, Kareena added, "What is there to feel bad Karan... so you were just overcompensating... but it's a show."
Reacting to these allegations, Karan told at the trailer launch of Liger, "I have to say it’s completely untrue. I was just feeling sad that Janhvi lost both the rounds, she lost the rapid-fire round and the game round and perhaps I was just trying to be just nice and in that process, everybody read it wrong. I love them both dearly, they are wonderful girls and artistes and I’ve known them ever since they were three years old so there is no question of a bias, not with them, not ever."
