For the first time ever, Anil Kapoor will be sharing the screen space with his actor son Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor in Raj Singh Chaudhary's directorial debut, Thar. The film is a noir thriller co-starring Fatima Sana Shaikh and Satish Kaushik. The first look posters of the actors were released in February and now, Thar finally has a release date.
Thar will premiere globally on Netflix on May 6, 2022. Sharing a new poster along with the release date, Netflix, on Instagram, wrote, "Rait ke mehelon mein aksar chupe hote hain gehre raaz! #Thar coming on 6th May, only on Netflix. We're really excited for this one, you might have heard from us some other sources but you're hearing it from us now and IT IS OFFICIAL - #Thar is coming on 6th May, only on Netflix!!"
Thar revolves around Siddharth, who embarks on a journey to avenge his past. Set in the 80s, the film is inspired by Western Noir genres. The trailer of Thar will be released on social media soon. The film is produced by Anil Kapoor Film Company (AKFC).
