There are interesting news coming in from Hollywood regarding web series with new cast and new announcements taking precedent. Catherine Zeta-Jones has been roped in to star in Tim Burton’s The Addams Family series titled Wednesday, Hilary Duff starrer How I Met Your Father gets its full cast in place and The White Lotus renewed for a second season with new cast. Catherine Zeta-Jones set as Morticia in Tim Burton’s ‘Addams Family’ series ‘Wednesday’ for Netflix
Catherine Zeta-Jones has been tapped to play the family matriarch Morticia in Tim Burton’s The Addams Family series titled Wednesday. The eight-episode series will stream on Netflix. Wednesday is described as a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore. Jenna Ortgea is onboard to play the titular Wednesday, daughter of Morticia in the live-action series. Luis Guzman will play Gomez, the patriarch in the Addams family.
Full cast of Hilary Duff’s ‘How I Met Your Father’ revealed
The full cast of How I Met Your Father has been revealed by Hulu. The 10-episode comedy stars Hilary Duff as as Sophie, who is telling her son the story of how she met his father. The series revolves around Sophie and her close-knit group of friends as they figure themselves and their lives in the age of dating apps and limitless options. Besides Hilary who is also the executive producer on the show, the series stars Chris Lowell as Jesse, Francia Raisa as Valentina, Sophie’s roommate; Tom Ainsley will play Charlie and Tien Tran will portray Ellen, Jesse’s adopted sister. Suraj Sharma rounds out the cast as Sid, Jesse’s roommate and best friend. A premiere date for HIMYF has not yet been determined.

‘The White Lotus’ renewed by HBO for second season with new cast of characters
HBO has renewed The White Lotus for a second season. According to HBO, its second installment will leave the ornate Hawaiian resort “and follows a different group of vacationers as they jet to another White Lotus property and settle in temporarily amongst its inhabitants.” Writer and director Mike White has been quoted as saying that he would like the series to be set in a different resort somewhere else in the world but also said that some cast members might come back to play the same characters. The White Lotus has been executive produced by White, David Bernad and Nick Hall, and co-executive produced by Mark Kamine.
