‘It was his dream that made him a legend,’ says Karan Johar as he drops a brand new poster of Sidharth Malhotra from ‘Shershaah’

Sidharth Malhotra’s and Kiara Advani’s eagerly awaited and highly-anticipated film Shershaah is finally going to release on Amazon Prime Video during this Independence Day week. After a promo that lit up the internet, producer Karan Johar unveiled a brand new poster of the film that features Sidharth.

Taking to social media, KJo dropped the poster that shows Sidharth in army fatigues and carrying his rucksack on his back. Although the picture does not show his back, it bears the caption, “Witness his dream…”Karan captioned the poster as, “It was his dream that made him a legend. #ShershaahOnPrime releasing on 12th August!”

Shershaah is the biopic of Captain Vikram Batra who was called Shershaah during the 1999 Kargil war fought between India and Pakistan. The braveheart was awarded a Param Vir Chakra for his bravery and courage on the battlefield as he led his team to one of the worlds most treacherous and high-altitude warfare in mountainous terrain.

The film is directed by Vishnu Varadhan and will release on Amazon Prime Video on August 12.
