BJP MLA Ram Kadam asks Saif Ali Khan to clarify his position related to the controversies surrounding 'Tandav'; I&B Ministry to take decision on show's censorship today

A criminal complaint has been filed before a Delhi court seeking action against OTT platform Amazon Prime and the makers of Saif Ali Khan starrer web series Tandav. The complaint filed under Section 200 of the CrPC seeks summoning, commencing trial and punishing the accused persons alleging that the web series is provoking communal disharmony and is hurting the sentiments of Hindus.

Now, BJP MLA Ram Kadam has asked Saif Ali Khan to clarify his position related to the controversies surrounding his web series Tandav. The minister has asked Saif to state the reason to do this series which has "hurt sentiments of Hindus." Ram Kadam said, "Whenever an actor signs a film or a web series, he’s narrated the script. A seasoned actor like Saif Ali Khan would have clearly known what was the content of the series and yet he agreed to do it. So we have a question for Saif. Why didn’t he say no to such a project where the religious sentiments of Hindus are being hurt? Why didn’t he say such content is inappropriate? So we want to know what is the position of the talented actor in this regard."
