Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, theatres across the nation are shut for the past four months. In the wake of this, filmmakers decided to release their films on the OTT platform for the audience at home to enjoy. Joining the bandwagon is Fox Star Hindi's next venture Lootcase. The film featuring Kunal Kemmu in the lead will see a direct-to-web release on the popular streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar. While the poster was launched during a live press conference, the makers have now unveiled its release date. The trailer of the film received a lot of appreciation for its quirky and unusual storyline and now it will finally release on July 31, 2020.

Lootcase is a laughter ride about a middle-aged family man who comes across a suitcase full of money. Lootcase will see Kunal along with Gajraj Rao, Rasika Duggal, Ranvir Shorey, and Vijay Raaz. The film is directed by Rajesh Krishnan and produced by Fox Star Studios and Soda Films Productions. It will open alongside Vidya Balan's Shakuntala Devi which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.
