Akshay Kumar has faced his share of struggles before venturing into the world of Bollywood. It is no secret that during his earlier days, the actor headed to Bangkok to learn martial arts, and to support his training, he worked for nearly three years by joining Metro guest house - a restaurant below and a guest house above - where he would cook and serve food to the guests.
Recently, he revealed that he would also perform chorus singing in Bangkok. The surprising element? The songs weren’t in Hindi but in Swahili! “I used to work in Bangkok. I used to do chorus singing also,” he says and continues, “This is the first time I’m telling this here. It was not in Hindi. I’m talking about 39-40 years back from now. I used to sing this song.
It was a time then, and it is his time now. “I have got more than what I have ever dreamt of,” Kumar had said earlier while speaking of his initial struggles before becoming a dependable actor.
And now, he gears up for a laughter riot with Ahmed Khan’s Welcome To The Jungle. The film brings together a formidable ensemble including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Aftab Shivdasani, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Kiran Kumar, Zakir Hussain, Vindu Dara Singh, Urvashi Rautela, Hemant Pandey, Brijendra Kala, Feroze Khan (Arjun), Late Pankaj Dheer Ji, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry, Jeetu Verma, Vrihi Kodvara, Adityaa Singgh and Bhagya Bhanushali.
