Watch: The teaser of Netflix' 'Ghost Stories' starring Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Sobhita Dhulipala will send chills down your spine


After teaming up for the successful anthology titled Lust Stories, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee have joined forces yet again for another anthology for the popular digital entertainment platform Netflix. Titled Ghost Stories, the ace filmmakers are venturing into the horror space, leaving fans of the genre excited. Since the inception of the show earlier this year, the audience of web content are waiting desperately to get spooked and thrilled with an amalgamation of intriguing tales. And after much wait, the makers shared the first look of the characters on their social media platforms on November 28. 

Now, as the horror anthology is inching closer to its premiere date, Netflix shared its first teaser on its Instagram account. Starring Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Sobhita Dhulipala in the lead for stories conceptualised by Zoya, Karan and Anurag respectively, the teaser surely gave us endless reasons to be prepared for an exciting spookfest. With thrilling background music, which is indeed the soul of horror genre content, Karan, Zoya, Anurag and Dibakar ensure that lights won't turn off for many days post watching the anthology.

Speaking of the cast of Ghost Stories, apart from Janhvi, Mrunal, Sobhita, the anthology stars Avinash Tiwary, Kusha Kapila, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah and others in the leading roles. The stories, directed by the filmmakers, will be thematically connected to each other and culminate in the end. Ghost Stories will premiere on Netflix on the midnight of January 1, 2020.
