On April 8, 2020, Allu Arjun announced his upcoming film titled Pushpa. The multilingual film was announced on the Telugu star's 37th birthday. Rashmika Mandanna is the leading actress. Now, after much wait, the makers of Pushpa revealed the name of the film's antagonist.
Renowned Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil, recently seen in Amazon Prime Video's film C U Soon, will be playing the role of the antagonist in Pushpa. The makers of the film shared a video on social media and wrote, "Welcoming #FahadhFaasil on board for the biggest face-off"

As per reports, Pushpa will revolve around red sanders smuggling set in the Nallamala forest. The film is directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media. It will release on August 13, 2021.
