Telugu actor Ram Charan tests positive for COVID-19, informs he is asymptomatic and quarantined at home

It's been over a year since the novel Coronavirus began spreading at an alarming rate. Now, as we are about to end 2020, India has managed to flatten the curve to a great extent but the pandemic hasn't gone yet. As the nation still fights against COVID-19, South actor Ram Charan has tested positive. The Telugu star shared the news of his diagnosis on his social media this morning. 

Issuing a statement, Ram Charan wrote, "I have tested positive for Covid-19. No Symptoms & Quarantined at home. Hope to heal soon & come out stronger." He added, "Request all that have been around me in the past couple of days to get tested. More updates on my recovery soon."

Ram Charan is currently shooting for SS Rajamouli's RRR. The film has been delayed due to the pandemic. It also stars Alia Bhatt, Jr. NTR, Ajay Devgn among others. 

Recently, Ram Charan attended his younger cousin sister Niharika Konidela's grand wedding ceremony in Udaipur. He was seen dancing with her and participating in all pre-wedding festivities with his wife Upasana Konidela. He also visited the set of his father Chiranjeevi's Acharya a few days ago.
