Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, on the occasion of his 37th birthday on April 8, unveiled the title and first look of his 20th film titled Pushpa. Directed by Sukumar, the action-thriller is highly awaited by fans of the stylish star. While it is a known fact that Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Sethupathi are joining Allu Arjun in the pan-India project, the mystery around the main antagonist is yet to be decoded. Amidst the buzz, reports suggest that the makers of Pushpa are keen on roping Suniel Shetty or Jackie Shroff as the baddie. However, the talks with both of them are in progress and either of them will be brought on board soon.
Speaking of Suniel, the Bollywood superstar is currently exploring South Indian films. He started off with Sudeep starrer Pailwaan followed by Rajinikanth's Darbar and now, he is working with Manchu Vishnu in Mosagallu. Apart from this, Suniel will be seen in Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea. Jackie starred in the pan-India film Saaho with Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor. Well, it remains interesting to see which Bollywood evergreen actor will team up with the Telugu star.
Pushpa, as per reports, revolves around red sanders smuggling set in the Nallamala forest. Vijay is said to play the role of a forest officer while Rashmika will play Allu Arjun's wife. Apart from them, the film also features Prakash Raj, Jagapati Babu, Harish Uthaman, Vennela Kishore and Anasuya Bharadwaj.
Pushpa is directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media. The film is said to get a grand theatrical release either later this year or early 2021.
