Daniel Radcliffe, popularly known for playing the wizard Harry Potter in the adaptation of author J. K. Rowling's fantasy series, is all set to embrace fatherhood. It was confirmed that the actor and his partner Erin Darke are expecting their first child later this year.
A source close to the couple told an international publication, "Daniel and Erin could not be happier to be expecting. They are absolutely thrilled, and can’t wait to become a family of three. They told their families and friends recently. It’s an incredibly exciting time."

In an interview with a magazine last year, Daniel said, "I want my kids – if and when they exist – I would love them to be around film sets. A dream would be for them to come onto a film set and be like: ‘God, you know, I’d love to be in the art department, I’d love to be something in the crew. Film sets are wonderful places. I think a lot of the time it can be wonderful for kids. But it's really the fame side of it that should be avoided at all costs."
Daniel and Erin met in 2012 when they were filming for Kill Your Darlings. Talking about their encounter, the actor told in 2020, "It’ll be a hell of a story to tell our kids one day, our characters are meeting and flirting with each other, so there is this kind of sweet record of us just meeting for the first time."
