Kim Kardashian’s advice for working women is receiving tremendous backlash. The clip comes from a recent interview with a magazine where Kim, her sisters Khloe and Kourtney and their mother, Kris Jenner, who manages them, spoke about their respective business empires and Kim went on to urge women to "get your f***** ass up and work,” which opened a hornet’s nest on social media with Jameela Jamil lashing out at the reality star and others calling her remark as tone-deaf and offensive when coming from a woman born into wealth and privilege.
Kim said in the clip, “I have the best advice for women and business. Get your f---ing ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.” Her sister Kourtney cosigned with "That's so true." "You have to surround yourself with people that want to work," she added. The comments did not go down well with netizens who pointed out that the Kardashians come from a wealthy family and were born in Beverly Hills.

I think if you grew up in Beverly Hills with super successful parents in what was simply a smaller mansion… nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success/work ethic. This same 24 hours in the day shit is a nightmare. 99.9% of the world grew up with a VERY different 24 hours. https://t.co/tvafFIyk92

The comments were made as a part of a larger conversation about how people perceive that the Kardashian sisters are famous for no good reason. Kim, taking offense at this perception said, “We focus on the positive. We work our asses off. If that's what you think, then sorry. We just don't have the energy for that. We don't have to sing or dance or act; we get to live our lives - and hey, we made it. I don't know what to tell you."
The time when I work for Kendall Jenner as an “Assistant”, I was Broke, tired and on the verge of sewer side, I remember she wanted me to fetch her purse which was all the way In Milan and I had to pay for my flight out of my own money just for her to go to a restaurant https://t.co/2kVgzdCVzK

I was an editor on the Kardashian apps in 2015 in LA, worked days nights & weekends, could only afford groceries from the 99 Cents Only Store, called out “sick” more than once bc I couldn’t put gas in my car to get to the office, & was reprimanded for freelancing on the side https://t.co/mzvnTomjS3

Every woman should be offended by #KimKardashian. I’m sorry my father couldn’t invest millions in my dream like your dad did for your boutique. Sorry I didn’t come from a privileged family living in Beverly Hills. Millions of hard working women Out here let’s be CLEAR! https://t.co/FuNo7iTYZJ

The netizens called the family out for undermining women not born in wealth, who work multiple jobs on minimum wage to make ends meet. Several pointed out that the Kardashians don’t do any work as they have an army of helpers and get everything for free as brand endorsements. They have nannies, cooks, cleaners, drivers, beauticians and whatnot at the tip of their fingers while most women around the world accomplish a zillion things in a day as well as work multiple jobs just to survive and that too in a covid-weary world which has put on an added toll on everyone. Several netizens also pointed out the fact that Kardashians don't pay interns and offer unpaid internship and several ex-employees took to social media to call them out for toxic work environment, hectic work hours and meagre salary.
