On Saturday, the premiere of Keanu Reeves and Priyanka Chopra Jonas' The Matrix Resurrections was organised in San Francisco, California. The cast and crew of the film attended the event and walked the green carpet. Priyanka, who plays the role of adult Sati, attended The Matrix Resurrections' premiere with her mother Dr Madhu Chopra, parents-in-law and other close family members.
However, Priyanka's husband, Nick Jonas, skipped The Matrix Resurrections' premiere. Talking to an international publication at the event, the actress revealed that Nick wanted to be with her on the special occasion, but he couldn't as a person in his tour tested COVID-19 positive. "He couldn't make it tonight. Somebody in his tour tested positive, so he wanted to be careful coming in," Priyanka told.
During an interaction, Priyanka revealed that Nick is a fan of The Matrix. "He's definitely a fan of The Matrix and I think he was very excited when I became a part of the movie. He may or may not have been very excitedly bragging, telling a few of his fans that I was part of the next one. Yeah," she said.
Directed by Lana Wachowski, The Matrix Resurrections also stars Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. It will release on December 22.
