Prime Video has released the first glimpse of its upcoming new web series 'The Revolutionaries'. It is a period-drama series, which will depict the story of the youth who followed the path of armed revolution during the freedom struggle.

The series is directed by Nikhil Advani and produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under their banner Emmay Entertainment. Currently its production work is going on and it will be streamed on Prime Video in 2026. The story of the series is based on the book 'Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom' by author Sanjeev Sanyal. It will show how some young freedom fighters considered armed struggle against British rule necessary and adopted the same path.

Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, Gurfateh Pirzada and Jason Shaw will be seen in the lead roles. The series is being shot in various parts of India, including Mumbai, Amritsar, Varanasi and Dehradun. The first look tries to show the atmosphere of that era along with glimpses of the characters. According to the makers, the series will show the stories of those freedom fighters who have been mentioned very little in mainstream history. 'The Revolutionaries' will be released in more than 240 countries and territories in 2026.
