Bill Gates' and Melinda Gates' daughter Jennifer marries Egyptian equestrian Nayel Nassar in a fairy tale wedding

Bill and Melinda Gates' eldest daughter Jennifer Katherine Gates tied the knot with Nayel Nassar at her home in Westchester, New York on October 16. Nayel is an Egyptian equestrian, who competed in the Tokyo Olympics recently while Jennifer is a medical student. The pictures from their fairytale wedding are going viral on the internet. The wedding took place at the lavish 142-acre Gates family farm with around 300 guests in attendance.

Jennifer and Nayel - both Stanford graduates - met on the equestrian circuit and began dating in 2017. The two had announced their engagement last year.

For the nuptials, Jennifer wore a custom Vera Wang gown with a long veil and intricate embroidery. The light ivory gown was embellished with hand applique French macrame lace on the bodice and sleeves while the Italian tulle chapel length veil was also trimmed in hand applique French macrame lace. The designer revealed about the bridal gown in an Instagram post. Jennifer wore minimal accessories with her dress and wore a pair of Aquazzura heels whereas Nayel wore a tuxedo with a bowtie.

Rishi Patel of HMR Designs handled the flowers for the wedding and chose white hybrid Dutch delphinium flowers to line the aisle for Saturday's outdoor ceremony. HMR Designs described the weekend as a "real-life fairy tale".

The wedding cake was a sight to behold as well, as acclaimed American baker and cake-decorator Sylvia Weinstock came out of retirement to create a six-tier floral embellished cake for the couple.

In an Instagram story, Jennifer thanked her wedding guests and wrote, "Don't think any words will do justice to what an otherworldly fairytale this weekend was Lucky and grateful to be his wife. And deeply grateful to everyone who made this dream come true. We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to gather with our loved ones safely. We know others aren't as lucky, especially as the pandemic continues to devastate communities in the United States and around the world."
