Deepika Padukone is all set to conquer Hollywood as well as she has been roped in for STXfilms' next rom-com. While the reports were doing the rounds on the internet since last evening, the actress confirmed the news on Instagram a while back. Deepika will not only star in the project but also co-produce it under her banner Ka Productions. STXfilms is also in talks with Temple Hill Productions' Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen, of the Twilight franchise and The Fault in Our Stars fame, to develop the project.
The actress shared the news post of the Hollywood news portal Deadline and wrote, "World renowned performer and producer @deepikapadukone is teaming up with STXfilms to bring her next #RomCom to audiences around the globe." #TempleHillProductions #TempleHillEntertainment #STXfilms #KaProductions #DeepikaPadukone" The collaboration marks the actress's comeback to Hollywood, four-and-a-half years after she starred in Vin Diesel's xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
In a statement, Deepika said, "Ka Productions was founded with the aim to develop and produce purposeful content with global appeal. I'm thrilled to be partnering with STXfilms and Temple Hill Productions, who share Ka's ambition and creative vision and look forward to bringing impactful and dynamic cross-cultural stories to the world."
On the work front, Deepika was last seen in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapak. In Bollywood, Deepika will be next seen in Kabir Khan's '83 and Shakun Batra's next. She also has Fighter with Hrithik Roshan, Project-K with Prabhas and The Intern Indian adaptation with Amitabh Bachchan in her kitty.
