Shazam! Fury of the Gods director David F.Sandberg has released a sneak peek at Zachary Levi’s costume from the upcoming Warner Bros. sequel. The clip is exceedingly short but we get to see Shazam’s boots, gloves and chest before revealing a silhouette of Levi.
Sandberg captioned the video as, “Sneak peek.” The video shows Levi saying, “Why is it so dark? It would probably be a good idea to have like one lie down.” The shooting for the film began last week and a few photos from the sets went viral on the internet with Levi in full costume.

Just like in the original Shazam!, Levi will play the superpowered form of Asher Angel’s Billy Batson, but he won’t look quite the same as last time, as he has got a new costume as shared in the video by Sandberg.
Along with Sandberg directing again, Henry Gayden return to write Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ script. Although no specific details about the plot have been revealed yet, the heroes including Shazam and his foster siblings Freddy, Mary, Eugene, Darla and Pedro will cross paths with the sinister daughters of Atlas, one of the legendary figures from whom they derive their abilities. Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu has been cast as Hespera and Kalypso, respectively, while the identity of their sister, played by Rachel Zegler, hasn’t been revealed yet. For now, the film’s release date is slated as June 2, 2023.
