Keanu Reeves to star in the adaptation of his comic book ‘BRZRKR’

Keanu Reeves’ comic BRZKRKR is getting the full Netflix treatment with a live action film and anime series. The streamer has picked up the screen rights to the Boom! Studios-published comic, whose first issue hit shelves only two weeks ago. Keanu will not only star in both the projects but will produce it as well. Also producing are Ross Richie and Stephen Christy for Boom! Studios along with Stephen Hamel of Company Films. As per Netflix and Boom!, BRZRKR is a "brutally epic saga about an immortal warrior’s 80,000 year fight through the ages. The man known only as 'B' is half-mortal and half-god, cursed and compelled to violence, even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the earth for centuries, B may have finally found a refuge — working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else. In exchange, B will be granted the one thing he desires — the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence … and how to end it." The feature will adapt the comic which is intended for 12 issues while the anime will explore different elements and themes of the comic universe.

The character was played by Serinda Swan for three seasons on the CW’s Smallville. The Zatanna film, which revolves around the DC Comics heroine, will be released in the theatres. Warnermedia and JJ Abrams' Bad Robot are producing the project. No actor has been finalized yet for the titular role.

Rupert Grint admits he 'peaked early', says 'maybe I'll just be a beekeeper'

Harry Potter star Rupert Grint who played Ron Weasley in all the eight films has not had a great trajectory after the franchise ended. However, that does not make him a lesser star and he enjoys a massiv fan following. In a new profile, the actor reiterated comments made by his co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson in the past, and said that there were times while shooting that he ‘definitely wanted to do something else’. He told an online portal, “I think I've always had that kind of ethos that nothing is forever. I do just feel like, ‘Maybe I'll just be a beekeeper. I'll just do that. I love acting, and I love being a part of (Servant, his Apple TV+ show). And I've really enjoyed playing the characters. But I do often think maybe I could do something else later on.” Likening the experience of working on the Harry Potter films as 'unique', he added, "No one really understands it and can relate to it but us. Almost kind of like astronauts. Kind of a weird experiment, I think.” He also spoke about not reprising his role of Ron in the film for any future projects but said that one should 'never say never', and will do it if others come on board as well.
