Amid the growing COVID-19 crisis, filmmaker Christopher Nolan's highly-anticipated big-budget movie Tenet has been delayed yet again but this time indefinitely. Earlier this year, the film was moved from its scheduled July 17 opening date to July 31 with anticipation that theatres would reopen in July. But as spikes in COVID-19 cases continued, Warner Bros. released a new date for the film as August 12. Unfortunately, that did not seem possible either. So taking the situation into consideration, the makers have now postponed the film indefinitely.
Sharing a statement on the release date delay, Warner Bros chairman Toby Emmerich told a Hollywood magazine, "We will share a new 2020 release date imminently for ‘Tenet,’ Christopher Nolan’s wholly original and mind-blowing feature. Our goals throughout this process have been to ensure the highest odds of success for our films while also being ready to support our theater partners with new content as soon as they could safely reopen."
Fans were heartbroken after the news and they tried to lift up the mood by sharing memes on the delayed-release.
Tenet is the Duke Nukem Forever of films.

Since Tenet is already a movie about inverted time, they should release an alternate cut of the movie on streaming first, then the original cut of the movie in theaters a year later. #ReleaseTheMultipleNolanCuts

Tenet which stars Robert Pattinson and John David Washington, has been described as "an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage", and the second trailer came with hints of 'inversion' versus time travel as a part of survival. The latest trailer of the action thriller gives a glimpse into the mission that the protagonist secret agents, essayed by Pattinson and David, embark on, in a time-bending mission to prevent World War III.
The supporting cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Kenneth Branagh, Michael Caine, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Clemence Poesy. The Warner Bros.' movie has been shot across seven countries -- India, the US, the UK, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, and Norway.
