'High School Musical' reunion: Zac Efron introduces his old castmates, bids adieu to fans due to poor network

Earlier last week, it was announced that the cast of the cult classic show High School Musical will be participating in The Disney Family Singalong on ABC held on April 16. Fans of the series were naturally delighted by the fact that the night would be filled with entertainment, reliving moments with Troy and Gabriella and much more. However, to their surprise, the event turned out to be sheerly disappointing for admirers of Zac Efron. The heartthrob of Disney's glorious years made a rather brief appearance and remained absent for the most-awaited portions.

Fans of Zac were waiting with bated breath for him to sing. However, the actor merely joined the special event to introduce the cast of High School Musical - Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella Montez), Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay Evans), Corbin Bleu (Chad Danforth), Monique Coleman (Taylor McKessie) and Lucas Grabeel (Ryan Evans). Zac, in his speech for the cast, said, "It's my greatest pleasure to introduce a musical performance by some of my oldest friends," and bid adieu.

Soon after watching the event, fans of Zac trolled and criticised him for disappointing them and not singing along. "Zac Efron says “we’re all in this together” but he’s never with them together," wrote one user while the other said, "Wait y’all telling me that I WAITED all night for Zac Efron to reunite with his cast of HSM for him not to sing!?!?"

However, jumping to Zac's rescue, Monique, in a statement, told that he wanted to participate in the singalong. Since he was contacted at the very last minute, he couldn't do so due to a poor network.
