It's election season. Several celebrities from the Indian entertainment fraternity have embarked on their political journey. After renowned names like Kangana Ranaut, Rupali Ganguly has taken a step in the political direction and joined the current ruling party, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP).
Rupali is a popular actress. She joined the BJP at the party headquarters in Delhi. In her official speech, the Anupamaa actress said, "When I see this 'Mahayagya' of development, I feel that I should also take part in this...I need your blessings and support so that whatever I do, I do it right and good."

Addressing the media, she also shared, "I am so honoured to be here. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has influenced me a lot. I am a big fan of PM Modi. BJP has been doing great work and therefore i wanted to join the BJP. I am very thankful to the party."
Rupali reportedly visited the BJP headquarters in Delhi this morning to join the party. As per reports, she might campaign for them ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections in the capital. Last night, Rupali hosted a party for her friends at a plush restaurant in Mumbai.
Workwise, Rupali is currently headlining the popular TV show, Anupamaa, as the titular lead.
