Lady Gaga-starrer Ridley Scott's true-crime drama around Gucci family gets picked by MGM; to release in 2021

Last we heard, Ridley Scot signed the diva herself, Lady Gaga for his true-crime film based on the Gucci assassination.

Just in! MGM has bagged the rights to the film that is said to release in 2021!

The film will be produced by Scott and Giannina Scott under their Scott Free Productions banner. The screenplay by Roberto Bentivegna is based on Sara Gay Forden's book 'The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed'. In other news, the movie might get released on Thanksgiving next year.

If fruitful, this might be one of the darkest roles played by Lady Gaga on the silver screen.  The woman she will portray, Patrizia Reggiani, was eventually found guilty of hiring a hitman to kill her ex, Maurizio Gucci, and was sentenced for nearly three decades. The movie will also mark Gaga’s first, non-music feature film.

Well, what do you think of this?
