At the start of his year, Netflix added a new series in its already impressive list of shows titled You that stars Gossip Girl’s Penn Badgley as a quiet and unobtrusive bookkeeper called Joe who gets obsessed with a woman called Beck. He devotes all his time in knowing everything about her. The new trailer is scarier and creepier than season one.
The season one was an instant hit and people fell in love with the psychotic murderer. They binge-watched the show in a matter of days and the makers had to renew the season due to incessant calls from fans. The new season is loosely based on the book Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes. Joe Goldberg (played by Penn) tries to escape his disturbing past by moving to LA and trying to start afresh. He changes his name to Will and tries to start afresh but his psychotic personality is hard to evade from and he soon falls for a woman named Love Quinn (played by Victoria Pedretti).

Showrunner Sara Gamble told an entertainment portal the difference between Joe’s obsessions Guinevere Beck (in the first season) and Love Quinn (in the second season) and said, “Love is very different from Beck. The way that Love enters his life is very different. His interest in her and his expectation is also very different.” She also said that the new season will be gorier and scarier than the previous one.
The series will premiere on Netflix on Boxing Day that is December 26. Watch the trailer of You S2 here:
