Zack Snyder unveils an image of Henry Cavill as Superman in a black suit hinting that the Snyder Cut of ‘Justice League’ had the superhero following the comic arc

The future of Henry Cavill’s Superman and Zack Snyder’s original cut of Justice League are both up for contention, but a new image seems to confirm that Superman would ditch his blue-and-red suit for a black one in the Snyder Cut of Justice League. One of the biggest questions fans have had is whether or not Superman would have worn the iconic black suit like he did after being resurrected in the comics following the Death of Superman.

Snyder has finally given the fans some measure of satisfaction by posting an image to his Vero account ending all doubts. In the picture Henry Cavill is wearing a black Superman suit with the caption “my Superman.” In the comments, Snyder confirmed, “Let's put it this way, in Zack Snyder's Justice League, he will have a black suit.” Despite so many reveals about the original plot of Justice League by Zack Snyder, the production house is reportedly still not ready to release the Snyder cut. The film that was finally released had been directed by Snyder but went through a lot of changes after Joss Whedon took over the film. Joss reshot most of the scenes of Superman, where fans could see his infamous CGI upper lip.

Apparently, in the home extras there were hints of the black suit as Superman walks past a black suit on the scout ship but Snyder confirmed in the comments that he would have gone over to select the suit upon his return. However, an entertainment portal had reported that Snyder had used the blue suit for shooting in a way as to allow it to be easily changed to black in post-production. Even the image posted by Snyder, it appears to be a desaturated shot of the blue suit. Many fans have questioned that why did Superman not wear the black suit in the 2017 Justice League as he did in the comics after being resurrected from his death.

Snyder also specifies in the comments that Superman would have worn the black suit throughout the third act battle. He dons the black suit for a particular moment in his character arc.

Behind the scene footage shows Snyder using the classic shirt rip scene used at the end of the movie so it seems that the black suit will be used up to that time and then the original blue-and-red suit will make a comeback marking the superhero’s true return as Superman which will be a mammoth journey that will be shown in the next two films.
